Who is a sworn translator?
Based on the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Requirements and Procedures for the Appointment, Reporting, and Termination of Sworn Translators as amended by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 4 of 2019 concerning Amendments to the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 29 of 2016 concerning the Requirements and Procedures for the Appointment, Reporting, and Termination of Sworn Translators, to become a Sworn Translator, one must pass a qualification exam conducted by the National Certification Profession Agency (BNSP) and coordinated by a professional organization or university.
The Professional Certification Agency of the University of Indonesia (LSP UI) is the body that coordinates the qualification exam activities for sworn translators through certification activities.
